Delicious food! Very fresh, restaurant quality food for an incredible price with a large portion size.

Read this as 2.5 stars. So my first time here was during the Yelp blanket drive. I donated my blanket, got some free pasta, ordered a cheese stick and then fell in love with this place. Essentially it's the spaghetti version of chipotle. Take it for what it is. I like the two noodle options and the choices of sauces, and then you can add all your fixings. Normally, not my thing to add anything else to my spaghetti but when it's free to add it, why not? Fast forward a few months to yesterday when I had gone back. The bowls are large. You definitely can get two meals out of it. They give you a pound of noodles and then when it comes to sauce you get a pinch. The employees were kind of all over the place. Seemingly not sure what to do while on the line. I hate to say it's because they are young, but... The cheese stick was so crunchy it tasted more like a churro than a bread stick. Thank god I was hungry because I probably would have just thrown it away. When they are fresh, like the first time I had them, they are amazing! The seating area is decent, but those stools can be mighty uncomfortable. I would give this place another shot because in theory I love it, but everything seemed so lackluster the second time around that I don't really care if I go back again.

Its part of the new wave of assembly line food. Who would have thought back when a sandwich builder revolutionized this process of food ordering would we be standing in line building a fast order Italian meal right before our eyes like this place? Italio customer service has been great the times I've been. The modernly decorated dining area has a high bar table area, and booths and regular sized tables closer to the federal highway side. Fountain drinks and bottled is a case by the register. Tonight, the very pleasant manager had at least three young trainees serving and she didn't skip a beat, maintaining her calm, pleasant composure, teaching and coaxing her young staff to build each meal correctly while at the same time, maneuvering the Yelp blanket drive tickets and making sure the meals were in order. Good job, go girl! Now, this isn't a replacement of a Maggiano's per se, but its great to get your Italian fix on, especially with the little ones. For the price point, you can't go wrong for a quick, family/kid-friendly Italian lunch or dinner.

Just left the Italian food version of Chipotle and the food was awesome. What's even better than Chipotle is the greater options of healthy choices to put in your pasta or salad. The food tasted great. I chose to create my own pasta bowl with whole wheat pasta, grilled chicken and steak and almost every topping I could put in my dish. From fresh mushrooms, spinach and banana peppers to bruschetta and grated carrots. I topped it off with my choice of a spicy marinara sauce- just one of three choices of sauces I could've had. It was a great food and dining experience.

This place has cheap fast Italian food that is terrible. You can mix your pasta sauces but why would you? It's an Italian version of Chipotle. (Read: low quality ingredients). You get what you pay for.

I'll be honest with ya, it's not too often I go out for pasta. To me, it's a go-to lazy day meal. I always have pasta in the pantry, I usually have sauce in the fridge, throw the two together, and you got yourself a quick and easy meal! That being said, Italio takes this convenience one step further by having a ready-to-go assembly line of create your own pasta. Best part of all? No boiling required! I came here to take part in the BPB blanket drive so yes, my small pasta bowl was free! No matter though, I wouldn't have minded paying for what we got, but definitely admire the shop for participating in this charitable cause. As we all know, this is definitely the Chipotle of pasta. I went with the whole wheat spaghetti, Italian sausage and "spicy" sauce, then added some spinach and peppers on top. The staff was friendly and didn't mind walking me through all the options that were available. Always a plus since, I'll admit, I was a bit intimidated. The small size was the perfect amount and definitely filled me up (and I was hungry)! It'd be cool if in the future they got different types of pasta instead of just spaghetti. I also tried some risotto balls. Oh my, these were dangerously good! Fried perfectly crisp on the outside but oozing cheese and soft on the inside, I could've just ate them all and been a happy camper. Blue also treated us all to some cannoli chips. I'll just say if I wasn't in public, I probably would've taken a spoon just to the sweet and creamy dip. Unfortunately, there's no Italio in Miami but it'd be cool if they decide to come down south soon! Here's hoping the pasta gods hear my prayer...

When I was growing up, there was really no, "Hey, I'm fiending pasta but don't want to cook or get overly dressed up to go eat". That's why it's a yummy convenience to have a casual "fast food" pasta place just across the county line from my house. I went Monday night for the Yelp Blanket Donation drive, but got there a little late to meet with Blue and the crew. The manager on duty was kind enough to take blanket and offered to get in contact with and deliver it to Blue. A business also reaches out to help the less fortunate in the community is always a plus! The food itself is delicious for a casual meal, I chose a classic Pasta Bowl. Analogous to that well known fast casual Mexican place, I started selecting my (whole wheat) pasta, got a decent helping of protein (meatballs) and picked a seemingly limitless batch of sides (tart red & banana peppers, heavy on the marinara sauce, plenty of tomatoes, and a sprinkling of mozzarella. The pasta could have been a touch firmer (al dente) and warmer but I enjoyed my meal, since the meat and toppings were well prepared. Of course I also had to have dessert, and their cannoli chips were perfectly crumbly and sweeter with the rich creme sauce. The pleasant attitude of their employees on duty that night made my meal that much better.

This is my second visit since the yelp event last Monday and its just as good now if not even better. I started out with the Calamari Misto and I ordered it well done and they came out perfectly golden brown. For my entree I had the whole wheat pasta with the alfredo sauce and the spicy Arrabbiata and had them add a little regular pesto and for toppings i had Eggplant Caponata, Pancetta, Piadina Croutons, Aged Parmesan. Italian Sausage, and Shrimp. Yes I know that's a lot but what can I say it's how I roll. I guess my 5 star rating pretty much tells you that it was good.

This was my first time back to Italio since the Yelp event... (yes I know bad yelper) but I have to first comment on their generosity towards charity. At the event they chose to give all the tips to charity, and what brought me back this time? Another charity event... this time teaming up with Yelp's blanket drive and graciously offering all of the donors a free small* pasta bowl! So, if you don't know already, Italio is best described as the Chipotle of Italian food. Fine by me cause I love customizing my food. This also means it's quick. Order up front, customize your bowl as you go down the line and then pay. Quick, cheap and delicious. Steven C. got the small pasta bowl, but I opted for lighter fare and did the salad bowl. Shrimp, spring mix, chickpeas, olives, cucumber, feta, balsamic and wow was it just right! Their balsamic dressing here is amazing. Of course I had to get a calamari bowl on the side because I'm obsessed with that lemon dipping sauce, and Steven C. just had to get an order of the cannoli chips (which are amazing and only $1). To top it all off they do have little bottles of wines so I got the pinot noir to wash it all down!! And the ambiance? Way nicer than any other competing restaurants. The dining area is always spotless! *I should disclose that really the "small" bowl is quite large. Don't try and order the large bowl unless you want leftovers or are seeking out a food coma!

I like this restaurant concept a lot. It is like a Subway® style layout for Italian food. Mix and match to build an AWESOME PASTA BOWL! I'm a fan! Fast, Affordable, Delicious! Easier than taking the time to prep/cook a spaghetti dinner yourself and having to do dishes! Buzzkill Alert: trying to find the driveway to enter the parking lot is elusive and can cause a couple of U-turns and red lights to get there.

Interesting new find. We don't have these up North where I'm from, but maybe we'll get them soon. Think "Chipotle"... but Italian style. There was an abundant selection of entree choices including your choice of original or whole wheat pasta, meatballs, chicken, beef, or just a healthy salad with your choice of toppings. I told the girl working there that this was my first time here and she was very helpful at helping me make a decision. She explained to me the difference between each sauce and their level of spiciness. When leaving the establishment, the girl behind the counter thanked me for coming in and said she hoped that I enjoyed my first time. Great customer service!

Finally had a chance to stop and try to Italio. I was not impressed with the options. The steak was extremely greasy and fatty. However, the whole wheat pasta was not bad. The lack of gluten-free options is obvious. Especially in this neighborhood. I was surprised there was only three sauce choices. I'd rather go to spaghetto in Davie... Better sauces and homemade pasta! The roasted garlic was good but I don't think the people who work there have proper training... They put so much garlic on mine I couldn't eat it... And if you ask my husband I love garlic. I don't know how they have such a high rating. The food really didn't look appetizing.

Pretty good food, I can say the salad is good. They were saying it's like an Italian "Chipotle" . 1-You can choose between a Pasta bowl, a Piadina (Italian wrap), or a Salad Bowl. 2- choose which meat you want like chicken, beef, sausage, meatballs, etc 3- choose the toppings like veggies , legumes, and cheeses. Fresh decor inside, a nice brick wall, great Italian twist. There was a big line of people ordering but the line went by so fast. There were so many employees in the assembly line, it made things go smoothly and quickly. They were friendly but because of the amount of people being served I felt rushed. My man got the Whole Wheat Pasta Bowl with fried chicken and Alfredo sauce. He had goat cheese added to it. It was okay. He's an Italian and picky when it comes to pasta , he did not like the oily pre cooked pasta, it just has a different texture. He was also hungry when finished eating. I went back to the cash and bought a 2$ cheese roll. It was really good, fresh, good cheese, crispy thin crust, I've never had something like this it was almost a calzone but not, better. Like a tortilla with cheese but not and a sauce on the side. I had the large Salad Bowl with grilled chicken, grilled peppers, Parmesan cheese, goat cheese, pita crisps on top of spring greens and a bit of whole wheat pasta , with the balsamic vinaigrette and they toss the salad and put it in the Italio cup. I really enjoyed my salad and did find it to be enough food for me. The vinegrette was really good and the overall salad was perfect-fresh ingredients. Ide come back for a salad

If you spend any time in Italy as I have, you'll quickly come to realized that there isn't really any all-encompassing expression "Italian" when it comes to food since everything is so regionalized or provincialized. Not only do the tastes, flavors, textures and methods of preparation vary widely, so do the ingredients used. Hence to my mind the expression "Italian" as pertaining to food is basically an American term for what tends to be an eclectic combination of any variety of Italian regional cuisines but with distinctive drawings upon Sicilian, Abuzzo, Molise, Tuscan and Umbria. The key however to any Italian, no matter the region or definition and what separates it from mere subsistence food is flavor, it has to be distinctive to any one or more of your five receptors, have a taste that must have a distinctive aroma and a texture clean to the bite. So, OK, I may be getting a little picky and techy about it but in it is in these areas that Italio shines as a restaurant serving up what I consider to be some very good Italian albeit American Italian dishes. Italio is a simple fast food outlet type of place but since you can really select your own with a basic choice of 3 sauces, 4 pestos, various dressings plus a host of toppings, it's pretty much up to you as to exactly what you come up with. So, if you create anything less than Four Stars, guess whose fault that might be? Since my most recent visit to Italio was during the "Order the Yelp" month, I had a Yelp, a delicious combination enclosed in a grilled wrap was served up at a special 50% discount Yelp price. I can only hope that they might want to continue with it, possibly making it a menu item, as I found it to be exceptionally good.

Have you ever said to yourself: Man, I wish I could get quick, highly customizable, fresh, delicious, cheap, pasta in a bowl or wrap? No? Well after you visit Italio, you won't know how you didn't know you needed this in your life sooner! Starving and running errands with the wife we dropped by Italio for a quick (and massive) lunch. I got: Traditional pasta bowl (they offer whole wheat also). Fried chicken - breaded and cut into small chunks. Spicy red - a mildly spicy sauce. Spinach, black olives, bruschetta and grated Parmesan cheese. WOW. The bowl is massive and I could barely finish it. For the price, it's certainly an alternative for a "cheap" lunch as you will probably have some left over for a snack/whole meal later. Not me...I ate the whole thing and what ensued was the loveliest of food comas I have ever had. The staff is super friendly and they move the line super quick. I'm sure it's not easy explaining a new concept to a first time costumer, dealing with the different options and ordering more of everything from the cooks (that's why everything is SO fresh, they keep asking for more meat, more veggies, more pasta..etc). The decor is great, clean and modern. They have a couple of tables outside and some tall tables with stools or regular tables inside. I'm a big fan and will be back soon.

I got the Order the Yelp deal. It is an Italian burrito. They warm the flour tortilla on a grill and then fill it with spaghetti, meatballs, sauce, & cheese. I thought it had good flavor. If they do add it to the menu, I would like them to offer whole wheat tortilla, whole wheat pasta, and added grilled veggies as a filler option. When you check in on yelp you receive 50% off this item. Usually it would be $7. This item is NOT on their menu yet. They are testing it out when you ask for the "örder the yelp"". The staff was very friendly, which makes me want to return again. Sign up on their email list to receive coupons!!!

This will forever be associated with the theme of Italio, and of course it's pretty hard to ignore. So let's get it out of the way and say #italianchipotle. There I said it and hash tagged it, but I love Chipotle and I love Italio. I'm not a huge fan of Italian food and pasta because it's usually associated with being fancy and expensive. However, I am a huge fan of Italio's concept of throwing out the rule book of fancy Italian pasta and creating a cheap affordable and the best part, customizable pasta that you can load into a bowl. My must get ingredients for creating my bowl are the whole grain pasta noodles, Italian sausage, arugula, basil, black olives, mushrooms, eggplant, peppers, extra roasted garlic, and yes more extra roasted garlic, feta, and topped off with a creamy Pesto Alfredo sauce. Depending on the meat, all of this can range from $7-$9. Such a great value for all the food you get. I really hope Italio finds it's way to California in the near future.

Oh Italio.. how I love thee.. let me count the ways. I can't get enough of this cafeteria style Italian restaurant. Every visit is as splendid as the last; great customer service, great food, great prices. They almost always have a Groupon deal available, so of course I take advantage (two entrees and two large fountain drinks for $12). I like to often compare this restaurant style to Chipotle, but with Italian food. You start off choosing your type of pasta: white or wheat. Then you move to your choice of meats and sauces: shrimp, grilled chicken, breaded chicken (chicken fritte), steak, Italian sausage, meatball, or just plain veggie. They have three sauces to choose from: artisan alfredo, basil pomodoro, or spicy prima rosa. I have tried all three sauces, and can honestly say each one is good. I have only tried the chicken fritte and the grilled chicken, but my husband typically gets the shrimp or the steak. You can then choose your additional toppings amongst a garden of choices: spinach, lettuce, peppers, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese; all the Italian food hashtags you can think of. I have never left Italio unsatisfied, and their portions are even large enough to have extra for later. If Italio were to ever disappear, I would be heart-broken. I don't know many other restaurants I can say that about.

I absolutely ADORE this concept. Im a pasta-holic. I could eat pasta everyday, three times a day if it were for me. I can really eat any noodle, with any sauce, but my one of my all times favorite is the simple spghatti with marinara sauce...and whats better than marinara? SPICY MARINARA! My husband had been raving about this place, as well as some other yelpers who went to the event at Italio in Boca, so I had been really wanting to check this place out. Finally, I got to visit last Sunday for lunch. I love that you get to pick all the things you will add to your bowl of pasta. I got whole wheat spaghetti (PROPS FOR OFFERING WHOLE WHEAT!!), spicy marinara sauce (which was AMAZEBALLS!), mushrooms, chickpeas, black olives, tomatoes and shredded mozarella. Sweet jesus was my bowl amazing! Not only was it amazing, but it was pretty affordable as well. Two bowls of pasta, 2 sodas = $21. WHAT? The bowls are massive, and could probably be shared (not with me..!!) I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, quick spot to get their pasta fix on! I cant wait to go back.

Super friendly staff that deserve five stars! I visited recently to drop off blankets for the donation drive. The staff explained how the place works. Everything was very clean, organized and efficient. The idea is to get you your pasta and get you on your way quickly. I liked that you can pick as many toppings as you want on your pasta. I stayed safe and picked their traditional sauce. It was good but tasted like it needed to be cooked for another half an hour. The steak bits were really good. I saw most other customers getting the chicken so I will have to try that next time. The meatballs were okay for fast food but the steak with veggies won the night. Overall, the service is what would bring me back again.

There's been a lot of chatter around yelp about this place, and after a series of aleatory circumstances, I found myself passing by Italio around lunch time and decided to stop in and see what the fuss is all about. I was quite surprised when I walked in and was the one, singular person (minus the workers) in the place. I was happy I didn't have to wait, but was kind of weary about what having zero patronage says about the place. Too late to turn around now though, as two wide-eyed girls behind the counter stared at me expectantly and the authority figure working (GM? owner maybe?) gave me a cheery welcome and started to explain the process to my clearly newby self - although if you have ever been to Chipotle, you already know how it works. At Italio, you can get either a salad, pasta bowl or wrap, then pick from chicken, meatballs, sausage, shrimp, etc. After that, you fill her up and dress it with whatever you want. And when I say "you" fill it up with your choice of toppings, I mean they do it for you- It's not self serve. Salad was my first thought, but after perusing the toppings, much of it didn't seem salad-ish and they lacked some standard veggies like broccoli or raw peppers. So, I opted for the spaghetti bowl. You can choose between either regular or whole wheat, and they have 3 sauces to pick from: marinara, alfredo, and a spicy prima rosa. They let me sample the spicy... and I'm sorry to say, not in the least bit hot ... like zero spicy. I went with that sauce anyhow as It was still tasty, but spicy it was not. As I went down the rows of topping, watching as the girl made my bowl up, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the freshness of the ingredients. All the toppings were filled and nothing seemed old or questionable. They had some great choices like bruschetta, roasted garlic, fresh basil, sautéed onions, and there were standards like olives, banana peppers, etc. too. And to top it all off, your choices are shredded mozzarella, feta or parmesan. I would have loved a scoop of fresh ricotta, but what can ya do. At the end, my pasta bowl was gigantic! However, I would have liked them to be more generous with the toppings in exchange for less spaghetti. The serving of pasta they give is more than enough for two meals or to share, and the only bad thing about that is that the pasta to toppings ratio gets highly skewed. I supposed next time I would ask for larger spoonfulls of the toppings, and based upon the friendliness I received this go-around, I don't foresee getting any resistance. Another thing about the huge serving of pasta is that even after everything I added, which included the "spicy" sauce and such pungent toppings as roasted garlic, raw onions, hot cherry pepper relish and heaps of red pepper flakes, it still lacked some flavor and was hovering around the edge of being bland. I would get some really awesome bites, and then some insipid ones. I enjoyed, but I wish every bite was a flavor packed one. The good news is Italio is way cheap. I like that you pay a flat price and that it's not based upon weight, as that can get really pricey (ask my $13.67 cup of froyo), especially for the giganto sized portion. My bowl (no drink or extra side) was $7.40 and it fed me twice.

Decided to come here because I've driven by it a couple of times and it has always caught my attention I just didn't have the time or was doing something else. So when you enter you are greeted by the staff who then asks you if it is your first time which I answered that I was. They proceed to explain how it works and it's basically like Chipotle. Pick one of the 3 options, then select select the meat, the sauce, etc. So I picked the Classic Pasta Bowl, with chicken and steak with Alfredo sauce with some garlic, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. It's a good portion of food, and the taste is really good. I was expecting the Alfredo to be a little bit more creamier but it was still good. The steak wasn't that good but the chicken was, it made the meal taste really good. So, overall this place is good and I would go again when I want some pasta and don't want to go to a restaurant and wait for the food to be ready.

A great, "Chipotle" style italian fast food joint. The pasta is decent, but the risotto balls are awesome. The Cannoli chips are weak...a little stale and soggy. Great for a quick bite during lunch, or if you're just not feeling anything crazy for dinner. Worth a try for sure.

First pasta bowl, good stuff! Kinda like a buffet without all the dirty tongs ;). I got a small bowl which was about perfect. A large would have left me way too stuffed like a thanksgiving dinner at Grandmas.

Chipotle with Italian food. The portions are generous, the quality is above par and its just a great place for lunch and a good place for dinner. Not sure if it will catch on like a chipotle, but it certainly has the potential to do so. The downside to Italian food is that its widely regarded as an unhealthy food category due to all the carbs. But if you're in the mood for Italian food, Italio can surely corner the market due to the rapid service (Italian food usually takes a while to make), food options, and pricing. Overall a good experience!

Semi-custom meals prepared Subway-style but with an Italian twist. I was pleasantly surprised at the offering for vegans/vegetarians - beyond just a salad, which is also an option if you want to avoid a carb-coma later. You can choose between plain or whole wheat noodles to fill your piadina (translation: noodle-wrap) or more traditional bowl. The boyfriend and I both opted for the latter. I loaded mine with both cooked and fresh veggies, pomodoro sauce and sun-dried tomatoes and he ordered his usual chicken with alfredo sauce. And the portions are more than enough. We each had a small. I can't imagine anyone but Michael Phelps being able to polish off the large. The biggest surprise was the price. Our whole meal was under 10 bucks! We drank water but they also have a carbonated, corn syrup dispenser as well to satisfy any and all artificially-flavored beverage cravings you might experience. Overall this place is A-OK, but I added an extra star for their clean, modern design aesthetic. BOTTOM LINE: Plenty under twenty [bucks].

I went here recently to support the SMART Ride 11, a 165 mile ride from Miami to Key West. There were a lot of supporters there and it was quite busy. Italio can be likened to that of Chipotle with options to customize a wrap, salad or pasta bowl. As this was my first visit, I felt a little overwhelmed with the process and selections. I opted for the pasta bowl with Alfredo sauce to begin. This is where I think they could use the most improvement. The noodles are very, very thin and there are only two selections to choose from, regular and whole-wheat. The sauce was bland and runny; it lacked flavor and devoid of any traditional seasonings. There is a large selection of toppings available. I chose Italian sausage, olives, diced tomatoes, a dried garlic seasoning with a mixture of parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The sausage had a decent flavor, the olives tasted like they were straight from a can, and the tomatoes were tasteless. The seasoning was overpowering having seen them measure out a serving to sprinkle atop my bowl. Combined, I felt this would be great combination. Perhaps by themselves or with another selection (such as a salad) these would work nicely. This may have just been the wrong combination. Others I were with seemed to feel their food was okay (but not great) based on their own selections. The setting inside was nice with many seating options available and the service was excellent. In my opinion, The concept is there, however, the final product is lacking. Your mileage may vary based on individual selections.

This place is pretty awesome for what it is. I call it the chipotle of italian food. I've been to the location on federal and the one in boca and both were of similar and high quality. I enjoyed the salad with shrimp so much that I had it again. If you check in on 4 square they will give you a free dessert in boca.

I said that if Italio could work out the issue of the serving temperature, I would upgrade my review. We've been to this one twice this week, and both times our pasta was nice and hot. This time I asked for extra amounts of toppings and got cheerful responses from the servers. One of them dropped by later and chatted with us for a couple of minutes, which is always nice. This is, without a doubt, my favorite "fast, easy and affordable" eatery in town!

Seriously dig this place!! its clean, its fast, its fresh, its delicious, its healthy (if u make it that way with whole wheat pasta vs salad and loads of veggies) choose your sauce, the veggies are plentiful and a variety to choose from, the steak, grilled chicken and shrimp are all tasty and juicy. I get the spicy sauce bc I can handle the heat mofos ...the service, the employees are unbelievably nice and helpful. there is a self service drink station, lids for the bowls are readily available for those who can't finish it in one setting(like me) max price for steak.shrimp(which you can have both if you wanted) is about $7.50 which for someone who can make 2 meals out of it is pretty darn good deal.

I was introduced to this establishment by a groupon deal. Every time I come here I leave impressed. The ingredients are always super fresh. Today I thought the steak was a little dark and charred looking so I asked about it, they offered a sample and the cook in the back immediately offered to cook a fresh batch. Upon trying the sample, the steak tasted amazing, char and all! No cooking necessary my good sir. But the fact that they immediately offered instead of just giving no options. Everyone is always super nice here and it's usually pretty clean. To top of the deal, they're always playing 80's new wave and similar badass tunes. I approve!

Welcome to Fort Lauderdale, Italio! It is so nice not to have to drive to Boca in order to enjoy dinner at Italio, now. The line of people for the grand opening was not a surprise. Good food and Italiio's customary hospitality is well worth coming out for and spending the time in line. I tried the whole wheat pasta for the first time and liked it! (Pasta to me has always been the white version and I viewed whole wheat pasta with suspicion.) This was the first time for the steak but I had my usual Spicy Prima Rosa sauce. The steak had a mild marinade flavor that was muted by the spicy sauce. But I knew that would be the case when I made my selections. The spicy sauce is worth it. The servers were generous with the additions of the black olives, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, red onion and parmesan cheese. I love getting my pasta customized to my taste in contrast to the typical spaghetti and marinara or bolognese sauce. In addition, the service time is usually rather quick and I truly appreciate the staff's upbeat attitude. Overall, an enjoyable dining experience. Thank you, Italio.

I'm so excited we don't have to go all the way up to Boca to have Italio! I'm a total sucker for pasta (okay carbs in general are my weakness) so having a pasta version of a Chipotle is awesome! I couldn't believe for the grand opening Italio was doing a free food event, but I was definitely willing to stand in line for that! The line was fairly long when we got there, but the staff definitely brought their A-game and got people through the line pretty fast! The thing I love is everything is fresh. You can choose from 3 different options, either a pasta bowl, a wrap or a salad. I've never had anything but the pasta bowl so I don't know now the other two are. You get a choice of two different pastas (whole wheat or regular) hot or cold sauces, veggies and then cheese. They also have appetizers and dessert. The Italio stick (basically a pizza roll with pepperoni and cheese) is a great starter and the calamari without cherry peppers is delicious too. My personal favorite though is the cannoli chips (cannoli shells cut into chip shape served with the sweet cream filling as a dip). Much easier to eat and the shell doesn't break after he first bite. So glad this location opened and now I can add it to my regular places to eat! Would definitely recommend to friends!

Not bad. Similar concept to Chipotle. Their pasta bowls are pretty good and filling, fresh, reasonably priced, made right in front of you.

I had noticed several local Yelper reviews of Italio after they hosted an event for the local Yelp community and thought I would give it a try. The analogy toward Chipotle has some truth. I opted for a whole grain noodle bowl with shrimp, arrabiata and lots of veggies and got an order of calamari as an appetizer. The calamari takes a few minutes so I grabbed a fork and napkins and found a place to sit. The app arrived within a few minutes fresh from the kitchen. I was not impressed with the calamari, the coating was fairly hard and most of the flesh was on the rubbery side. I enjoyed the peppers that had been tossed in the same coating and fried up but that didn't make up for the rubbery seafood. Even at under $5 for the app I would not order it again. The bowl is, as others noted, a substantial serving. It was nice to have a bunch of veggies as my dietary habits have suffered as I have overindulged during this trip. The shrimp were ok but didn't stand out. As I worked my way through the bowl I noticed that they had used a fairly heavy hand with the oil on the pasta, so if you are counting calories your pasta bowl may have more than you hoped for. The place appeared to be extremely clean. Service was quick and friendly. I saw the staff take the time to explain the concept to another customer. If I were to return I would consider taking advantage of the offer posted on the wall to pick two and have a small pasta bowl and either soup or a small salad.

I had a craving for Italian food today something quick and easy. So I went there. Which I found to be exactly what I expected. The food was good, service was awesome, and the place was extremely clean. However, I read through the reviews on here prior to going and I do have one thing to say to a lot of those making negative reviews, if you're Italian you're probably not going to like the place. Period. It's not your mother or your grandmothers pasta and doesn't come off as they're trying to be. Some of you are just downright negative all in all with your reviews. It's like when I lived in New York and all of my friends insisted on going to Olive Garden knowing they were going to hate it and nitpicking everything about the food simply because it wasn't made by their mother, and that's what you guys remind me of. Go to an actual Italian restaurant if you want that. Overall I really like this place. The server was very sweet and asked me if I wanted more or less sauce, and if I wanted more of the toppings I got. Overall I had a pretty great experience! Will be going back again.

I'm on vacation from the Gulfcoast. This place is clean nice appeal. The food was a great value for the money. I love Italian food and was pleasantly surprise at my experience. The variety was nice. The staff was friendly. Wished there was one closer to where I live. A+++++++. Jonay made our experience memorable.

Despite the awkward entrance and hidden parking, Italio is a regular for us. The food is Fresh and Delicious ! Portions are generous - you really get a lot of Bang for the Buck ! All the proteins are Tasty and the Roasted Garlic is a super addition (just be sure to share so your entire party is Vampire Proof!) Clean, Modern Interior & a Staff that are always chipper and nice. AND they play Awesome 80's Music ! What's not to like ?!! The only reason this is 4 star rather than 5 is the Drinks (one of the state of the art hundreds of combos soda machine would be nice)

Yay Italio! Love this place! If your looking for filling, Chipotle style (and equivalent in taste if your part of the Chipotle following), fresh Italian food look no further than Italio. I first discovered it from a private Yelp event, where they were incredibly generous in supplying SO MUCH FOOD for us to eat! The taste, service, and quality had me coming back for more. I brought my friend here not even a week after because I was still craving it's deliciousness! So I would say that's grounds for a win right there. The restaurant's set up like an assembly line. You tell them what you want: Salad, pasta wrap, or pasta bowl. You pick everything from what type of lettuce, meat, pasta, wrap, topping, dressing, etc. all right there. They have veggies, bruschetta, and all sorts of yumminess...just say the word and boom, its in your bowl. And lots of it, they don't skimp on portions that's for sure! I've had the create your own pasta bowl with chicken and shrimp which was delicious. The wrap (I tried the Yelpidina, which was a spicy sauce and italian meatball combination with veggies and pasta) was also fabulous, probably only thing I'd have that would make me justify the carbs on carbs I was consuming. The salad was also incredible, they toss it right in front of you, and their lemon herb vinaigrette is truly out of this world! Overall, the ambience is lovely. Very clean, brick, red, and white. Great parking. Great spot with great food. They've made an addict out of me, so I will for sure be back again...and again...and again. SOON!

I don't really get what they hype is about. Maybe growing up in a town where there were quality Italian joints aplenty that served better meals than this at an even better price point has left me wondering why I return here and why people seem to rave about it. I have been here three times, and the only reason I go, is 1) I am able to purchase a living social deal/groupon that makes this a cheap dinner 2) I want a very fast meal 3) I am hungry and want a big portion. The concept is basic: choose salad, a spaghetti sandwich or spaghetti bowl. I have just gotten the spaghetti bowl. Next, pick regular or whole wheat spaghetti (no other noodle choices available..ever), pick a protein (tiny pieces of steak, chicken (grilled or fried)) shrimp and sausage. Pick one of three sauces (spicy, marinara, alfredo) and then throw on a bunch of toppings into one bowl with no rhyme or reason--honestly, I feel like a farmer is throwing left over ingredients into a trough for mass consumption. Lastly, stuff your face until you can't eat anymore. Oh by the way, the containers they use do not retain any heat so your meal will be barely warm. On the plus side, the place is clean, service is friendly, and you will be in and out in about 15 minutes. There are always living social deals/groupon deal, and I recommend one of these as I would not pay full price for this. Last time I was there, their soda machine was broken so there was no ice and their soda was "kind of flat..." They told us about this but should have included a free soda with our meal; instead we had to purchase pellegrino sodas..I may return for the reasons I have already given, cheap, fast, clean, big portion, but will probably leave disappointed the next time too.

Just not impressive at all. The Pasta is just bad, the meatballs like stone and as been stated, not enough sauce. Oh and it's really salty. Oh I'm 100% Italian Went Sunday at 7:30pm and they were out of everything and the staff really rushed you even when customers said, " I've never been here before". Never get a second chance to make a first impression. A huge BS call out to all the 4-5 star reviews, Yelp is/can be bought and with Groupon... Good luck but I'm done with Italio...

When I lived in Boca I used to eat at the location on Federal at least 3 times a week. This location is definitely not up to par. The lack of clientele shows in the staleness of the food. The staff is inflexible to requests. If a customer is willing to pay extra, let them. This was the first and last time I will be coming to this location. After raving to friends about the quality of food (for being a Chipotle style Italian restaurant) I felt embarrassed bringing them here. Barely worth the star I gave them.

Essentially Italian chipotle. Not bad but not that good. Wife loved her salad and the cannoli chips were probably the best part. Often on groupon so check of out if you can get a deal.

I really thought I would like this based on the other reviews, but I am sad to say this was a total fail for me. Maybe I would have liked the salad better than the pasta, but since I don't live in SoFL anymore, I wont be back. Thankfully, I used a groupon, so I was only out 11.00. My wife did like her meal though, I didn't like mine. We both had pasta. My wife had the regular pasta with meatballs and red sauce. I had the multi-grain pasta with half chicken/half shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, cheese and red sauce There was a lot of pasta and not enough sauce. There was hardly any of the protein. The chicken was cut so tiny. The shrimp was really small too. I like to get a bite of protein in each bite of pasta, but that didn't happen. I did NOT like the sauce at all. It tasted like it came out of a jar( ready made). I also didn't like the raw veggies in the pasta. The mushrooms and spinach should be cooked. I wanted some onion too, but did not want it raw. The spinach made the sauce really watery too. With all the great 'red sauce" Italian joints in SoFl. I don't know why people would venture here for pasta. Maybe the salads and the wraps are better, who knows, but I wont find out.

Went to Italio today for the first time and I'm sure I'll be back. I just love the concept. Man, I wish all restaurants operated like that. Had a whole wheat pasta bowl with veggies, everything was really fresh. I couldn't believe that I was able to pile as many other toppings besides pasta and roasted veggies onto my bowl. You can create the craziest bowls if you want to. I need to come back and try a salad bowl as well as a wrap. I'm a vegetarian and think this place is great for veggie options. The staff is super friendly, the place is very clean. Parking in the back is plenty and so convenient. Now I have to say the food was not the greatest I've ever had, but I just had such a great overall experience that I gave 5 stars even though the food alone probably deserved 4 stars.

This place is a solid, fast casual dining experience. I prefer the salad over the pasta. I find the pasta gets a bit cold by the time you go down the line to add the toppings, pay, get your drinks and utensils...The toppings for the salad are limitless and fresh. I really like the lemon dressing too. I tried the cannoli chips once, pretty good concept to dip. One thing I think they should have is a mini italio breadstick to accompany the salad. Need a little carb!

White or Wheat pasta with your choice of meat and sauce. You then add veggies, cheeses, and herbs to taste. They also do sandwiches and salad. I noticed today that there are small wine bottles in the cooler. Plenty to take home!

MMMMmmmmMMMM ITALIO! The Chipotle of Italian food. Any create-your-own-[fill in the blank] style establishment is always a success in my book. From the basic, yet classic Subway sandwiches to the aforementioned Chipotle fresh Mexican to pizza [ pieology.com/] and now the frontier of Italian food with Italio. Interestingly enough, the bf and I have decided that upscale Italian restaurants tend to be overrated and overpriced for something we can closely imitate in our own kitchen. Despite that, we are such f'in suckers for Italio. We learned of their grand opening and happily attended. They were offering their three main entree items: pasta bowl, piadina (italian wrap), or salad bowl. We both opted for the pasta bowl. We were also able to sample the tomato basil soup and Italian wedding soup, and cannoli chips for dessert. The servers were super busy, yet still able to offer us these free samples. Definitely a plus on that one. The soups were both good, however I preferred the tomato basil. The cannoli chips were interesting. They were kind of a deconstructed cannoli where the fried pastry part turned into a chip and the sweet filling became a dip. I think the only downside to these is the chips needed to be slightly more crisp. The texture was slightly soft making them seem stale instead of fresh. My best analogy would be a batch of freshly popped popcorn versus the popcorn that's been sitting out for a few hours. So I think if these come out freshly made, they are worth getting. Now that we have visited on several occasions, I've pretty much got "my" bowl down: whole wheat pasta with italian sausage and veggies (the sauteed zucchini and mushrooms) topped with alfredo sauce and basil pesto. For the toppings: spinach, bruschetta, cucumbers, mushroom, red onion, eggplant, feta cheese, and EXTRA garlic. (sorry to anyone in the proximity of my breath post Italio). As far as the meat choices, the shrimp is good but overpriced since they only give a few pieces. The steak would be my number 2 choice. I have yet to try the chicken or the breaded chicken and it may be awhile until I do because the best option is the Italian sausage! It is a delicious little nugget bursting with flavor. By the way, the portions of these bowls is LARGE. I can rarely finish my bowl in one sitting, and sometimes not even in two sittings. So the value is another plus for Italio. Every time I bring my leftovers to work, everyone always is asking "where did you get that?!" It looks/smells so good!" So do it.. come to Italio so that you can be that coworker with the great smelling leftovers. PS After you are done expanding in Florida, bring Italio to Cali so I can still have this goodness when I move back

I went there today for lunch and had "the yelp" which is basically a burrito filled with spaghetti, sausage, arugula, cheese, and a spicy tomato sauce. I really enjoyed it, but I think next time I will opt for regular marinara sauce because the other sauce was too spicy for me. I also got the cannoli chips and I have to say it was ok, but I didn't care too much for it. Like other reviews have said, it's like a fast food Italian restaurant, patterned after chipotle. You get in line and choose want you want as you go through the line. I would definitely go back again and try other dishes! Flavor was very good!

Ok so I love the convenience of this place, the portions are generous, and most things appear very fresh. Plus they serve alcohol.... Unfortunately, today I pulled a black hair out of my salad. I'm a blonde :(

My first time there was a winning experience! Being unfamiliar with the menu and their serving portions, I simply went with the choose-your-own pasta bowl. A very decent-sized cardboard bowl, with a hearty-sized amount of spaghetti noodles (your choice of regular or wheat), along with well-proportioned variety of supplemental choices (mushrooms, onions, sauteed veggies, etc.), a variety of sauce choices (arrabbiata, pesto, marinara -- mild to spicy in heat), and a choice (or choices) of protein (chicken, tofu, shrimp, etc.). I went with sauteed shrimp. You had your choice of making your bowl more salad-like (by adding fresh greens to it), or simply leaving it as a pasta bowl. (I made mine more salad-like.) I was very surprised at the restaurant-quality of the flavors! Even more surprising was the perfectly-cooked, hearty-portion of shrimp -- not one shrimp was overdone: All were well-seasoned/flavored and very tender. The entire establishment had a clean, upscale vibe (which is perfectly suited to that area of the Federal Highway). The open kitchen was very clean, and the entire staff looked spiffy and on-the-ball. I will DEFINITELY pop in to Italio as a substantial alternative to fast-food...! (And the prices were very reasonable, esp. for the quality of food!) :D

I can't get enough of this place. I had the whole wheat pasta bowl the first time, which was really good, but because I'm trying to lose weight I've only been coming here for the salad bowl with everything on it like every time. As much as I love chipotle, I must say this place is way better if you want salad in particular. I cant eat chipotle everyday and expect to lose weight but I can eat an italio salad bowl everyday and actually shed a few pounds.Unlike chipotle this place has a variety of salad toppings and a variety of lettuces( iceberg, spinach, arugula, mixed lettuce). I keep reminding myself to switch up the meat sometime. I can't get enough of their breaded chicken lol...so far it's the only meat I've had...I think I'll try steak today.

Great concept - i'm half Italian so I'm very biased. My first bit of advice for management - ummm, CHANGE YOUR LOGO! Shame on me but I thought it was a furniture store when I drove by the first time in Lauderdale. How about? Italio Kitchen? So people can actually see the word kitchen when ya drive by. It's already implied 'modern' by looking at the place so you don't have to say it in fine print and we already know it's 'Italian' by the word, Italio. Don't we? Now to the food. I do thank LivingSocial for the buy one get one free deal. Service = very friendly, no wait as I dined very late, love the quick Subwayesque cafeteria style setup. Food quality = tried the pasta bowl with sausage and meat, and NO complaints whatsoever. Everything tasted fresh and I got a dash of the spicy sauce on top. Hit the spot. Portions = With a glass Pinot Grigio I was stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey. The portion looked small when I walked to my table. but when I got up I was glad I didn't eat anymore :) As Arnold Schwarzenegger once said in 1984 - I'll be back!

Great to see Italio inching closer to my neck of the woods! It must've been a year since I first tried Italio up in Boca and ever since I try and make the drive up there once in awhile just to get my fix. I play hockey for fun, and my favorite thing to eat on days I play is a big bowl of pasta.. So I'd usually sit down at an actual restaurant and get a bowl because there was no place like this at the time. Now I go to Italio for a HUGE bowl of pasta on my game days. I have tried most all of the sauces, admittedly not all of the pestos though.. I now am pretty fixed on the spicy sauce, I think it's called Prima Rosa? It's really good.. I add chicken, chic peas, bruschetta and their roasted garlic. I think the roasted garlic is why I love this place so much, its kind of crispy which I love! I'll tell you what though, lately I've been adding a side salad to my meal, they have these great small bowl for a perfect sized side salad.. Their salads could are so good that they could be known as just a salad restaurant... The only thing stopping me from getting a bowl of pasta with the spicy sauce every time, is when I feel like a big salad and it's very tasty.. They have a lemon vinaigrette dressing that I've been craving lately.. It's great to have Italio so close to me! It's definitely one of my favorites for quick food.. See you soon, Italio!

Ok so I've been back about three times since my initial review (decided to give it another chance). Each time the experience has been much better than my initial visit. Service is much more consistent and I've honestly taken a strong liking to their tomato soup (definitely give it a try)! I've only always ordered the salad bowls so can't talk about the pasta bowls. But the salads are definitely good. I'll chalk up my initial experience either to new staff or to an "off day". Definitely worth a look when you get tired of Chipotle or refuse to eat at McDonald's.

We just had dinner there and it was great for fast food. They ask you if you have ever been there before . Since it was our first time they explained how it works. They are extremely friendly and very patient, you don't feel rushed to make a decision. The place is spotless. My only concern is the gentleman in the back cooking with the long hair should have his hair secured better (even though he had a hat on a hairnet is required)

Bought the groupon, place looked good. I'm from New York and married to an off the boat Italian so I'm used to good Italian. I wasn't expecting gourmet food. What we got was best described as Chef Boy R Dee in a bowl. We tossed the food and left. Don't waste your money.

Walked in, loved it. Seen the menu, loved it. Ordered the wrap with the shrimp, did NOT love it. I only got 4 shrimp on my wrap. I was a little upset. The workers are very nice and make you feel welcome. But, the manager who prepared my food was definitely trying to cut back. I mean, please. I have to pay 9 bucks for 4 shrimp?? The food was good. But, for no sit down waiting, it should not be that costly.

Food was very disappointing. It was cold. We asked for it to be heated up. Manager told us this is how the pasta is served. I have been here in the past and have had warmer pasta. It was so bad . We could not eat it , we asked for and received a refund.

Although "fast food" Italian, we were pleasantly surprised. We bought a Groupon, which we often do to try new places, now we get one every time they come out. Even though it's a bit of a drive from Hollywood I think it's worth the trek.

This was my second time here and I had a simple pasta bowl with traditional pasta, chicken fritte and the basil pomodoro sauce. The food was as good as the first time. Both times I've been, we've had a buy one, get one free coupon and our meal with 2 drinks was under $12... a great deal. While the food is good, I wouldn't go without a coupon. I think the regular price for the food is a little on the expensive side for what you get, especially in comparison to restaurants I would put in the same category (i.e., Chipolte).

Doing Italian food in the way that Chipotle does Mexican. Italio is fast and fresh. I love the options for toppings.... It's a seemingly never ending bar of quality add ons. I ended up with a whole wheat pasta bowl with chicken which was excellent. My friend got the regular white pasta and she loved it too. The cannoli chips were heaven!!

Saw a deal for this place on groupon and I was in the neighborhood so I figured if it stinks then at least I didn't pay full price. I was impressed, the Prima Rosa sauce has some kick and the portions are stupid huge. You'd pay more than double for a similar meal at a sit down Italian restaurant. That being said this place really is Chipotle in disguise and they could use some more variety in their pasta selections.

After coming here for the first time at a Yelp event I decided to have a one on one meeting here with a client. The very friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere proved to be a great place to relax and get to know my client a little better. The food is excellent and offers a variety of ingredients to choose from in a buffet/Chipotle styled meal. The calamari was probably the best I ever had! The prices were reasonable and the pasta bowl is a large enough serving to take home leftovers.

I went to Italio as part of a YELP event and I have been telling friends and family all about it since! The food was good, the portions were excellent, the prices were reasonable and the service was fantastic! Bottom line is, it is the Chipotle of Italian food! I loved the apps, my pasta bowl which you can customize and my favorite was the cannoli chips. Being Italian, I love a good Cannoli- in fact that's my dog's name. The chips were a wonderful way to have a cannoli shell while dipping it into the cannoli cream and not having a soggy shell. I will definitely be back!

Very tasty dining experience. Calamari Misto didn't survive the car trip home (sorry gals, I will buy 2 servings next time). Large portions. Friendly servers. We tried shrimp alfredo w/w pasta bowls-one w/arugula, roasted peppers & 4 cheese and one w/carrots & spinach and a crispy chicken piadina w/spinach & sautéed peppers & onions. All tasted great!

I have found a new, fresh and hassle free place for a really good 4-star salad! Now I haven't tried anything else...but the salad is so good, specifically because I have it put together with every incident I want...all fresh. From the grilled chicken, to the fresh arugula, roasted garlic, sautéed eggplant...I could go on and on...you can't get these fresh ingredients on a salad bar. I kept for the lemon vinaigrette dressing. I mean, I crave this salad! Sometimes, my hubby and I will order our dressing not he side, take it home for lunch, and only eat half, saving the other half to have with dinner, or for lunch the next day! Not big on the atmosphere, in fact, from the front I thought it was a kitchen supply store! (That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars) Thank goodness a friend suggested we meet up there for lunch one day...and it was in my neighborhood! Who knew! Now I sing it's praises and have sent manga. Friend there!

The combination of a new concept in fast food---a free standing Italian food restaurant--and offering a free meal brought us to the opening of italio. You have a choice of a pasta bowl or a salad bowl or a wrap. Then you choose an entree to add to the above which can be either veggie, chicken, Italian sausage ($6.98 each) steak ($7.48), meatball ($7.28), shrimp ($8.98) or chicken fritte ($7.28). You then get to choose from 11 different sauces, pestos or dressings followed by choosing fresh veggies, italio favorites and cheeses. All are served in a plastic bowl. They offer sides, a kids meni,. soda, bottled water, iced tea or Italian soda and a dessert of cannoli chips. I had the pasta bowl mixig whole grain and traditional spaghetti, adding sausge, arrabbiata pesto, peppers and onions and a 4 cheese blend. I had a fountain soda ($1.76). Under regular circumstances I would have paid, with tax, about $9.25. Due to the free meal promotion there was a long line and many employees but all was handled smoothly and at a good pace. Though they were very stingy with the initial serving of sauce they will give you more with a smile. Unfortunately the pasta and sauce were room temperature so by the time you get to your table all is cold. Though the price was right--how can you beat a free entree?--it isn't a place I would visit again though it was clean, the employees were friendly and smiling. Those are the reasons for the 3 stars. And, oh yes, NO TV which is definitely a plus.

It pretty good. It's a relatively simple concept, in that you have your choice of pasta, sauce, and ingredients. It's pretty fresh and there are sufficient choices for toppings as well as a salad or wrap if you are so inclined. This is a good safe choice for lunch. It won't knock your socks off but you can't go wrong either!

  • Michelle R.

The staff was friendly and it was upbeat atmosphere. HOWEVER, the food was not good at all. You get this big pile of pasta with one little diced VERY small bits of chicken. The sauce I chose was the alfredo...tasted like jarred alfredo, the vegtables are more for the wraps because they are RAW as in not at all cooked. I also ordered a side of the calamari. No taste at all even though it had fried jalapenos in with it. Bland through and through. For $15 I could have went to any Italian restaurant in the area and had an entre that was better, and that I could actually find the chicken in. Not going back to this place like ever.

  • Jodie J.

The staff were very helpful and smiles all around. But, the food was not good. I like the fresh idea, make your own. But, the basic ingredient.....THE GRAVY's were terrible. The pomodoro with crushed tomatoes and basil tasted like bitter Campbell's canned ravioli. The alfredo sauce tasted like milk and the very small pieces of tough chicken supposably had a lemon-herb marinade. Very bland. So bummed, was looking forward to fast italian. But, If you don't have a decent gravy............

After reading about all of the hype over this place, I decided to give it a try. Not bad. As an Italian Jew and growing up on my Grandma's authentic Italian food, a part of me feels bad for going to a place like this. Like I'm violating some kind of rule in my heritage. But I have to say that the meatballs are excellent, the shrimp is good, the chicken is decent, the steak is disgusting and full of fat, the pasta is, well, pasta, and the sauce (or gravy) is decent. I always get the regular tomato sauce. They also have a spicy tomato sauce which I tried and it's very good, but extremely spicy, and an alfredo sauce, which I haven't tried because I hate alfredo sauce. This is exactly like Chipotle, but with "Italian" food. After you pick your meats and your pasta, (they offer traditional pasta or whole-grain), you get unlimited toppings such as zucchini with mushrooms, spinach, eggplant, cheese, and various veggies. Besides for the pasta bowls, they also have wraps and salad bowls.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
